NANAIMO REAL ESTATE
Nanaimo Real Estate and surrounding area has grown rapidly in the last several years and is becoming an economic hub and almost an extension of the Vancouver mainland.
Real Estate for sale in mid Vancouver Island seems to center in Nanaimo and go in both directions, North and South.
To the South, Real Estate in Cedar is a forested and hobby farm gem with Ladysmith as the closest town hub. Then Saltair has waterfront homes for sale. A few short minutes further is Chemainus with all its cool murals, then Crofton. Finally you arrive in the city of Duncan area, all less than an hour drive from Nanaimo. 20 minutes inland from Duncan are the many lakefront homes in the towns of Lake Cowichan and Youbou. A little further past Duncan is Cowichan Bay, Cobble Hill and Mill Bay on your way to Victoria.
To the North is Lantzville then Nanoose Bay, suburbs of Nanaimo. Then you arrive in Parksville and the gorgeous beaches, parks and waterfront houses. Coombs and Errington have a lot of rural hobby farm and equestrian acreages and are only about 10 minutes inland from Parksville. Shortly after Parksville is Qualicum Beach and the huge long crescent shaped sandy beachfront. There are many waterfront condos in Qualicum Beach. At this point, your still only about half an hour from Nanaimo. Drive along the breathtaking waterfront stretch another half an hour North through Qualicum Bay, Bowser, Fanny Bay, Buckley Bay, Union Bay and Royston, all jam packed with oceanfront homes then you arrive in both Courtenay and Comox only about an hour from Nanaimo.
