Quennell Lake is a fairly large lake, 1.5 km across with a varied shoreline. Located within the community of Cedar/Yellowpoint in the South end of Nanaimo. Quennell Lake is locally famous for its thriving bass population and great fishing in Nanaimo. Anglers say its the lily pads covering the lake that help protect the juvenile fish which leads to a high success rate. Quennell lake is also a popular spot for canoeing and kayaking in the area.
In addition to great fishing, Quennell Lake is home to several private lakefront farm estates. if you are lucky enough you could own a waterfront home here but you wont see many of these waterfront houses for sale. This lake is only minutes from everything the community of Cedar has to offer.
Communities Nearby Quennell Lake include Cedar, Ladysmith, Nanaimo and Yellowpoint.
If you are searching for a waterfront home in Nanaimo or Ladysmith call me, my favorite waterfront Ladysmith realtor.
